RESPONSIBILITIES WE NEED TO TAKE TO ENABLE US WALK IN THE BLESSING Part 2

BY PASTOR EBENEZER AYESU

6. Walk in Love:(Eph 5:2  And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God). A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. Joh 13:34. Love is very crucial for every Bible believing Christian who wants to activate the blessing of God upon his or her life. Jesus said this is a commandment. And every commandment is a Must. Thus we cannot do away with it if we want to see the true riches of God and bear much fruit in our lives.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Joh 15:7 -12
Do you see “if” in verse7? It means God is giving us a condition. Not for our salvation: that is free. We are save by grace, but if we want to see God’s power and blessing in our lives, there are some conditions that we must meet. The lord is asking right here,” what do you desire? What need do you have? I will give you every desire ‘if….’ On the condition that you do what he has asked you to do. Paul the apostle said “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Rom 8:28.  So you see, all things work for your good if you will comply to walking in love. The word of God says” We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1Jn 3:14
Many Christians today are abiding in death. Why? Because, they are not walking in love. Their businesses, their lives, their families and all other things surrounding them are in shambles. They are not passed from death unto life so they cannot see the blessing of God on their lives.

        Characteristics of love(1cor 13:1-13):
Ø  Love endures long and it’s patient and kind.
Ø  Love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy
Ø  Love is not boastful or vainglorious; does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited; arrogant and inflated with pride; it is not rude (unmannerly).
Ø  Love does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking.
Ø  Love is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of evil done to it or pays no attention to a suffered wrong.
Ø  Love does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoice when right and truth prevail.
Ø  Love bears up under anything and everything that comes.
Ø  Love is ever ready to believe the best of every person.
Ø  Loves hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and it endures everything.
NB: One way by which you can demonstrate God kind of love is being filled with the Holy Spirit .Read Rom5:5

7.    Live a Righteous Life:Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Ps 1:1-6
Righteousness is the hallmark of every Christian. Christians who wants to be blessed are to hearken diligently to the word of God and walk in it. They walk not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful. But their delight is in the law of the lord; and in his law do they meditate day and night. So, of what relationship has light to do with darkness? They don’t blend together. Today many Christians want the blessing of God but, they are not ready to live a consecrated life unto God. How can this happen when you have not separated yourself from the world. It is impossible! God is looking for genuine people to bless and not wicked with uncircumcised heart. The word of God says’ they shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water’. Thus they are going to receive divine provision from heaven. Provisions that will make them flourish and excel in all their endeavors. Let us analyze what the word of God says in Psa 92:12 -15 “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.Righteousness we read from the book of proverbs that Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Pro 14:34. Every Christian must note here that rightness attracts blessing and sin expels the blessing. In order to remain blessed we have to constantly discipline ourselves to walk in righteousness. Let’s look at the following scriptures below:
The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever.
They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. Psa 37:18-19.
Pro 14:11  The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright            shall flourish.
Pro 28:10  Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.
Psa 5:12  For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
NB: Now for one to live a righteous life he or she must refrain from the following works of the flesh; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred,
variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings. (Gal 5:19-26 ). He or she must walk in spirit to fulfill the character traits in Gal 5:22-23 ‘ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law’.

8.  Operate in the Wisdom of God:
Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. Pro 24:3-5
One way any Christian can manifest the blessing of God is operating by the spirit of wisdom. The Spirit of wisdom is what helps the believer to gain skills to be fruitful in what the Lord has entrusted into his/her care. Of what use is it if one has all the riches in the world and lacks wisdom? King Solomon could not control all the riches his father left him without the Spirit of wisdom and understanding. That is why he said” Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. God can give you all the blessings you want but if you lack wisdom you will waste all and die shamefully. Through wisdom is an house built and by understanding is it established (Pro 24:3). You can only increase the seed in your bosom by constantly tapping into divine resources and the Supernatural provisions for your life. But if you rely on your intellectual wisdom and Capabilities  you will collapse very soon and fade off. We have got to a point where Christians need not Labour to be rich. They are to cease from their own wisdom and tap into the spirit of wisdom to make it in life.  Ecc 7:11-12 says: "Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun. For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it."
Wisdom is a defense and the Lord gives it to anyone who inquires of it free of charge. I mean free-You don’t have to pay for it. Many people think they can make their businesses, marriages, families and what have you to grow by not applying the wisdom of God. It is impossible! You cannot ignore it the wisdom of God and make it in life. The word of God says in Mat 25:14-30 “ For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
His lord said unto him, well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
These categories of People were given the talent according to their several abilities. The one who had five tapped into the supernatural wisdom to gain additional five. Likewise the one who had two. He also gains additional two. But the one who had one hid his own and did not work with it, thinking his master is hard and difficult. Today there are many people who have hid their talent. Though they are born again Christians, Holy Ghost filled, water born, redeemed etc. yet they are poor and can’t make ends meet in life. Why? Because they have forsaken the wisdom of God and adopted a wrong attitude thinking God is going to bring manna from heaven or perform magic. God is our Manufacturer and has bestowed good treasures on us that when we work in our several abilities, we would be able to turn things around and have positive results. Solomon was born a king and he worked within the confines of his grace and succeeded; Daniel was born a prophet, He also operated in his prophetic assignment by constantly tapping into the wisdom of God and he made it. Just look at Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Celeb, David and the like. They were each born for a peculiar assignment. They were able to find the purpose for their lives by operating in the wisdom of God. One should know that in every assignment, is your consignment or divine provision. That is why every Christian must receive illumination from God to make it. What am I driving at? (or u could say what am i insinuating? U cannot say insinuating at) I mean you have to tap into divine wisdom to know the purpose for your life. Don’t say this person is a footballer so I am also a footballer. No! It may be your assignment is to become a Pastor or a Musician. As you find yourself doing this faithfully, you will be successful. We need to use the wisdom of God to know the purpose for our lives and get what we don’t have.

RESPONSIBILITIES WE NEED TO TAKE TO ENABLE US WALK IN THE BLESSING

BY PASTOR EBENEZER AYESU

The creative power of the tongue. (Change your language or mind what you say.):
Pro 18:21 says:
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”.
The number one way a curse can come on your life is the word you speak to yourself and others. There is a creative force behind the spoken word. God’s desire is for us to reap blessing and prosperity and much of the power to claim it is in what we say. You can release blessings by speaking positive words.  Numbers 14:27 -28  says:
” How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:”Out of the twelve spies only two got to the promised land because of their words. (See Num.13: 26-31). A man shall eat well by the fruit of his month. (prov 13:2-3).
It is not what goes in to the mouth of a man that defiles him but what come out of his mouth. (Matt.15:10-11).
You can defeat the enemy by the words of your testimony. Do not use your mouth to speak ill of anyone including yourself. When you speak ill, it can open door for physical disease to afflict you or your loved ones.  Pro 26:2 says: "As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come."  God inhabits the praises of his people while the enemy inhabits the complaints of God's people. He has no power over our lives except that which we give him. So manifest the blessing by Speaking it into your life and you will truly see it come to pass.
2.      Avoid Anger: (see Gen49:7; joh5:2 ; Ecc 7:9)
Anger can keep you from the promised Land or hinder your blessings. God asked Moses to speak to the rock but he struck the rock twice in anger. (see Num20:6-12). In Exo 11:12 Moses lost his reputation among those he was called to deliver because of his anger .So God delay his deliverance for years. He had to stay in the wilderness for forty years to be trained before he could fulfill his divine assignment.
Anger is not a sin if it is properly channeled. God built anger in us to enable us become dissatisfied with a wrong position so that we can do something about it. Your anger should therefore always be directed towards a positive end instead of a negative one. See Eph 4:26-27
Eph 4:26 - 27 says:  "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil".
NOTE : Your anger should not be a nightmare to your family, your church, your marriages and your neighbours. It should always be directed towards a positive change bringing blessing, prosperity and peace at home and abroad.
Let us take a quick look at some text scriptures below in relation to the vice of anger:
Lev 19:17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbor, and not suffer sin upon him.
Lev 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
Psa 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
Pro 14:17  He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
Pro 14:30  A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
Pro 15:1  A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
Pro 15:2  The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
Pro 16:32  He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
Mat 5:22  But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Mat 5:23  Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
Mat 5:24  Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
Eph 4:31  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Eph 4:32  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Jas 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
Jas 1:20  For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Jas 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
3. Be faithful with your Tithe and Offerings: (Mal3:6-12;Luk 6:38):
Mal 3:6  For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Mal 3:7  Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
Mal 3:8  Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
Mal 3:9  Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
Mal 3:10  Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Mal 3:11  And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
Mal 3:12  And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

Luk 6:38  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

If you do not tithe and give offerings, Malachi by the word of the Lord says, you are cursed with a curse. Faithfulness is what God needs from every Christian and nothing more. God wants to bless us but we have to play our part by being faithful to him in our tithes and offerings. Our tithe is what secures our finances and releases the blessing of God on us by giving us the wisdom we need to multiply and increase greatly.
God said to Adam:
"Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return
.” Gen 3:17 -19
God’s plan for his children is to live in abundance. The garden in Eden was a blessed land but, because of Adam’s disobedience to God’s word, He drove them out of the garden and cursed the land with thorns and thistles. God hasn’t changed yet .The ten percent is still His, just like the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. God said  "you can have the rest, but this one is mine.” Hallelujah!
"And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” (Gen2:16-17) Now, you might be saying Eben, Adam and Eve ate of it, but they did not die. It may be they did not die physically right away, but they died to God’s blessing and they were cut off from their source of eternal life and on their own. This is what happens when we rob God of His tithe. God said “All the rest is yours, but don’t eat what belongs to me .If you do, you are cursed with a curse." What does this mean to us? The world we live in is cursed. All around us are debts, poverty and lack. It seems like it is normal now and even acceptable for people to steal, lie, and cheat—it’s just survival of the fittest to the world. God says to us “Give me my tree, my tenth and I will provide for you in my garden, my kingdom. If you eat of my tree, (my tenth),  you are on your own “Our tithes and offerings to God keep the curse of lack and debt that is in this world off us. Remember we are in this world, but we are not of the world. When we obey God in our tithes and offerings, the limitations of this world are removed from us and God’s supernatural provision will come upon us.
4.      Give to the poor & needy:  In Pro 28:27 the word of God says: "He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.” This is what every Christian must try to understand and do. We must give from our heart to show some love to the poor and not to neglect them. The lord did not give us wealth for our selfish ambitions but, for the benefit of these people. One thing we Christians must understand is that God loves a cheerful giver. As we learn to give always, he has promise to give back to us. This time around; not the same quantity we gave, but a multiplication. Let us look at what the word of God says in Luk 6:38:
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."
So, you see, our responsibility is to give and His is to greatly multiply it to us. There is no way you can have a break through on your finances except you give and by the promptings of the Holy Spirit. There are people that are tied to our ministries in terms of giving of alms. We need to give to the Orphans, the widows and the poor generally. If we diligently obey and give, we lift off the curse on our land pertaining to our field and receive bountifully. The word of God says we should spread our bread upon many waters and we shall have it back one day. So continue to do good and you will reap the harvest of your seeds. Let’s examine some scripture texts below:

Deu 15:11  For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
Psa 9:18  For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.

Pro 22:9  He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.

          5.      Honor your Biological & Spiritual Parents:
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise ;)
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth
."
Eph 6:1-3
The first thing we need to look at is the statement made in verse one “children obey your parents in the lord.” God is saying that children are to obey their parents who lead them in God’s way. Obviously, if a parent told a child to do something illegal, God’s instruction would not apply. Moving on from the obvious, God says that we are to honor our fathers and mothers. He then says something very interesting “This is the first commandment with a promise." Then in verse three, He tells us what the promises are. First that it may be well with us. God is instructing us that if we follow his teachings here, if we obey and honor our parents our life will be good. He tells us not only will life be good, but it will also be long on earth. I don’t know about you, but that sound pretty important to me. By honoring my father and mother, I can have a long, blessed life here on earth.
By ignoring this one commandment, we can release a curse that will block the blessing of God from our lives. Note that we are not asked to honor our biological parents only. We are also to honor Elderly people and our Spiritual parents like the Apostles, the Prophets, the Evangelists, the Pastors and the Teachers. These people are after the Lord's heart. He said “ I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding” Jer 3:15 .Spiritual blessing and long life come from honoring these people. Heb 13:17 says "Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.” So, when we do contrary to what the word of God says, we put a curse on our lives. These people watch over our lives and if we dishonor them, whatever pronouncement they make on our lives, will come to pass. If you break the edge the serpent will bite. In the same way, if you disobey them, your blessings will be far from you.

WHAT ABOUT SPEAKING IN TONGUES?

I do not know of any other experience in relation with the Holy Spirit that has generated as much controversy in the body of Christ as speaking in tongues! I believe this is born out of a diabolic plan of the enemy to rob us of the means by which we are to walk in victory and bring the kingdoms of the world on their knees before our God and His Christ just before the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
For those who know the truth of the word of God, this should not be difficult to believe and understand because prophecy has already gone ahead of this experience even before the first advent of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Isaiah 28:11-12, we read:
For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.”
From this scripture, we can see that in spite of the fact that God said He would speak to His people with strange tongues as a sign, they still would not hear! This I believe is one of the reasons why this matter has generated so much controversy. I believe this is the fulfillment of a negative prophecy, but I have made up my mind not to be caught on the side of the fulfillment of a negative prophecy. I refuse to be a Judas in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
When the Lord came in his first advent, He also prophesied this event. He said it would be one of the signs that would follow those who believe in Him. In Mark 16:17, we read:
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;” (emphasis mine)

With this scriptural authority glaring at us from the word of God, I find it very amazing that this matter should generate any controversy in the Church to the point of influencing some Church leaders to serve some brethren in some denominations the left hand of fellowship for embracing a truth that the Lord himself prophesied about even though we all claim that He is our Lord.
Furthermore, in the book of Acts of the Apostles; as we shall be seeing in the course of this study, we would find that in three of the five accounts where people received the infilling of the Holy Spirit for the first time, we are expressly told that they spoke in other tongues. In the other two instances where this is not mentioned, we are not told that they did not speak with tongues either. We can even infer that they did!
The first of these two instances was in Acts 8 where Peter and John went to Samaria to impart this gift on the converts of Christ there through Philip. Simon the sorcerer saw and heard something that made him want to buy the grace to impart this gift through the laying on of hands! I believe what he saw and heard were the people speaking in other tongues.
The second of the two instances where we are not expressly told people who got filled with the Holy Spirit for the first time spoke with other tongues is the account in Acts 9 where Ananias laid hands for Saul (who later became Apostle Paul) to be filled with the Holy Spirit. We can however infer from the letter of Apostle Paul to the Church at Corinth in 1Cor.14 that he spoke with tongues. In fact, in 1Cor.14:18, Apostle Paul says:
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:”
The truth is that we cannot isolate one scripture from others because the bible says in Isaiah 34:16:
Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.”
Thus when we match Saul’s testimony in Acts 9 with that of 1Cor.14:18, we can conclude that in all instances in the bible where people received the infilling of the Holy Spirit for the first time, they spoke with tongues.
Let me quickly say here that the infilling of the Holy Spirit empowers you to be a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ as Jesus said in Acts 1:8:
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…”
Being a witness however has to do with who you are first; before what you do. The reason the Lord emphasizes who we are here is that the Holy Spirit first comes to make you before He uses you to do the will of God. The bible says in Philippians 2:13 that God works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure. It is who we are that will dictated what we will do and as such when we seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit, we are not to stop at speaking in tongues, but to proceed to building our most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit always to enable us become pure witnesses for the Lord.
If you are not yet born again, you cannot manifest the nature of God and consequently you cannot receive this Gift. The Lord said the world cannot receive Him. But you can be born again now by saying the prayer below and when you do, write to jointheirsfamily@gmail.com and let us know and we will send you an e copy of our believers guide to growth.
THE SINNER'S PRAYER

THE SINNER’S PRAYER

Father in Heaven,
I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Your word says in John 6:37 that you will not cast me out when I come to you. So I thank you that you will take me in.
You also said in Romans 10:9-10 that if I shall confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in my heart that you raised him from the dead, I shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God. I believe that he was raised from the dead for my justification and I confess him now as my Saviour and Lord.
I believe that I have now become your righteousness in Christ whom you made to be sin for me on Calvary’s Cross.
Thank you father that I am saved from this day in Jesus’s name!
If you just said this prayer, congratulations, the Holy Spirit will take you up from there and make you a new creation and help you live for God for the rest of your life.

God's will is The Blessing by Ebenezer Ayesu

JUNE; OUR MONTH OF THE BLESSING. ‘BLESSING’ is a covenant word which means “empowered to succeed’. When God entered in to a covenant relationship with Abraham, one of the major blessings he pronounced on him was the blessing of fruitfulness and multiplication. When God made a covenant with the children of Israel under Moses’ leadership, he included the blessing of fruitfulness in the terms of the covenant. Deu 7:14 says: “Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male nor female barren among you, or among your cattle.” The BLESSING is what distinguishes the blessed and separates them from others. It is that extra touch of God on your life that makes you extraordinary. God has blessed us but some of us are not manifesting the blessing and the problem is not with God but us.  God’s desire is to bring abundant wealth and prosperity to you. He wants to bring you to a land where you will lack nothing and have no Scarcity. Now, let’s look at some verses in the Bible which highlights the mind of God concerning prosperity. Deu 8:6-13 says:  "...therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. For the Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land A land of brooks of water of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; Deu 8:8  A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey; Deu 8:9  A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass. Deu 8:10  When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee. Deu 8:11  Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: Deu 8:12  Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; Deu 8:13  And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast."                                Deu.8:17 says:   "And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth." Deu 8:18: "But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day." 3Jn 1:2:  "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."  Therefore from these verses highlighted we can see  that God's will is prosperity and not to make us fail or lack anything. He has giving us the power to succeed.         THE BENEFITS OF THE BLESSING OF GOD 1. It makes us rich and add no sorrow or affliction Prov.10:22 says: "The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it."  Deu.7:14 says: "Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle." 2. We are made to be partakers of Abraham's blessing through our Lord Jesus Christ. Gal 3:13 -14 says: "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." 3. It makes us great people. Gen.12:2-3 says: "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." 4. It brings multiplication to us. Gen. 22:17 says:  "That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies".  In this text of scripture from Gen 22:16-18, the lord swore by himself to bless Abraham and his Offspring because he obeyed Him. 5. It brings blessing to our work (see Deu 28:12-13 & Deu 15:4). Deu 28:12:  "The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. Deu 28:13  And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:" 6. The blessing of God protects our wealth.   Mal 3:11  And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. (See Job 1:7-10 –The lord himself blessed Job and secured his wealth by forming a hedge around him) Job 1:7  And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. Job 1:8  And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Job 1:9  Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Job 1:10  Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. This was one of the few places the devil told the truth. See also Psa 5:12  For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.   The blessing of God itself emanates from God who is above all. It is therefore a spiritual blessing from above and not beneath (See Gen 49:25-26 & Eph 1:3). This is what beats the understanding of Satan and he cannot comprehend it at all and as such can do nothing to stop you. The Bible says he that is from above is above all, so the devourer could not kill Job. All he stole from Job was restored twofold by God after Job passed the test of his faith in God. Until God allowed Job to be tested, the devourer could not touch his possession because of the edge God built around all he had.
